Miami Herbert Family Circle
The Miami Herbert Family Circle is a distinguished group of select families of undergraduate students. As members of this exclusive circle, families become a vital part of our Miami Herbert community, contributing their valuable parental perspectives on issues, acting as ambassadors for our School, and actively participating in and hosting local events. This dedicated Circle also plays a pivotal role in supporting the Miami Herbert Business School through its strong commitment to our philanthropic efforts.
The Family Circle is supported by Miami Herbert’s Office of the Dean. Members of the Miami Herbert Family Circle typically serve a four-year term, aligning perfectly with the duration of their student's enrollment at Miami Herbert. Selection for membership is a testament to an individual's genuine interest in Miami Herbert and their ability to assist the school in fulfilling its overarching mission. Join us in shaping the future of business education and fostering a vibrant and supportive community at Miami Herbert Business School.
Member Commitments
- Meetings: Members are invited to attend Miami Herbert Family Circle meetings biannually — once in the fall (during Family Weekend) and once in the spring, allowing for networking with other member families and with Miami Herbert administrators. Between these in-person gatherings, members stay connected through virtual events, including town halls and guest speakers.
- Charitable Giving: Members contribute $5,000 annually to the Miami Herbert Business School Annual and Unrestricted Fund, which supports the School’s most pressing priorities.
- University Support: Members are also encouraged to become acquainted with other initiatives at the University and to consider supporting one or more, based on their interests and the interests of their University of Miami student.
Engagement Opportunities
- Meet and greet Miami Herbert leadership and key administrators.
- Serve as a Miami Herbert ambassador, host local events, and serve as a resource for prospective students.
- Get special invites to faculty and industry leader-hosted events, both in-person and virtual.
- Access exclusive newsletters and networking opportunities.
