Celebrating Fashion Entrepreneurs

This event had speakers consisting of students and established entrepreneurs working in the fashion industry in addition to pop-up shops for student entrepreneurs to share their products! Some of the student entrepreneurs featured were Habits 365, Lions & Willows, Chasing Nostalgia, and ISOKE.

Accelerator

UScale

UScale, Miami Herbert's Accelerator, focuses on aiding companies ready for global expansion. Selected through an international effort for their industry significance and prior traction, participants undergo six weeks of mentorship preparation, culminating in a pivotal one-week Miami Residency to network and pitch to leading industry figures and the community.

Sustainability Cohort
Reducing waste and bettering the environment is no easy feat, but these innovators are confident in creating change. Entrepreneurs from Columbia, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Bangladesh, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia came together to share their businesses and current efforts to create a sustainable Earth. The companies included: Aintech, Fabric Aid, Fresco Labs, iPage, Innovakit, Le Qara, Plastus, Symbaiosys, Uptime Analytics, and Waykana.

Real Estate and Construction Cohort
From AI and Blockchain to new materials, these innovators from around the world are disrupting smart homes, site selection, real estate investment, and construction itself! At our organized Pitch Night, these entrepreneurs presented their companies to students, faculty, and alumni and demonstrated their efforts toward changing the industry. The companies included: Xogo, Block Solutions, CheckToBuild, Deepblocks, Trase, OpenCasa, Extreme Mobility Living, Grafinco, RealToken Inc., and The Green Road Project.

Women Leaders

Raising Strong Daughters

This event featured innovators and entrepreneurial women sharing their stories about going from daughter to mother to business leader. The panel discussed their sources of strength, the challenges along the way, and where their inspiration came for their ventures. Community members were invited to bring their daughters, nieces, and mentees for this special and intimate discussion so that everyone involved could learn to raise strong girls to be the next generation's problem solvers and job creators. The event was co-hosted by the Miami Chapter of the International Women’s Forum and BSA Troop 719 of Coral Gables.

Global Entrepreneurship Week

Global Entrepreneurship Week is a global celebration that occurs the second week of November. The Entrepreneurship Initiative at Miami Herbert will be participating in Global Entrepreneurship Week by hosting and inviting students to attend a variety of events focused on different themes.
