Empowering Our Community with Financial Knowledge
Miami Herbert Business School is proud to offer a student-led Financial Literacy Program designed to help individuals in our community gain the tools and confidence they need to make informed financial decisions. Through engaging, easy-to-understand seminars, participants will learn the basics of money management, investing, insurance, and retirement planning.
Program Overview
Each academic year, our top Miami Herbert students deliver a series of financial literacy seminars to the public. Sessions are open to all and are offered in both English and Spanish. Whether you're just starting to build your financial foundation or looking to expand your knowledge, this program is for you.
- Format: In-person seminars, approximately 90 minutes each
- Location: Miami Herbert Business School’s Storer Auditorium at the University of Miami, Coral Gables Campus
- Audience: Open to the general public
- Cost: Free of charge
- Languages: English and Spanish sessions available

With a focus on empowering students to transmit financial knowledge, the goal of these seminars is to debunk financial myths and provide practical advice to the general community.
Stefanos Delikouras
Associate Professor of FinanceStefanos Delikouras is an associate professor of finance at Miami Herbert Business School. His research focuses on asset pricing, household and behavioral finance, as well as machine learning applications in finance. Delikouras holds degrees from the University of Piraeus, Greece, with a bachelor's in banking and finance, and the University of Michigan with a PhD in finance.

Zach Duncan
Zach Duncan is a junior at the University of Miami pursuing degrees in Finance, Accounting, and Mathematics. He has held roles in consulting, commercial banking, and wealth management, gaining exposure to both strategic and analytical aspects of finance. His academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of financial strategy, quantitative modeling, and behavioral decision-making. Zach is passionate about advancing financial literacy and analytical thinking among others.
Malakiyah Fairclough
Malakiyah Fairclough is a Finance and Political Economics student at the University of Miami’s Herbert Business School, graduating in Spring 2026. He previously interned at Fidelity Investments in Asset Management, rotating across Equity, Fixed Income, Alternatives, and Quantitative Research before accepting a full-time offer as a Fixed Income Research Associate. Originally from District Heights, Maryland, he is passionate about helping underrepresented communities bridge the racial wealth gap through education and access to financial resources.
Rodrigo Luengo
Rodrigo Luengo is a senior at the University of Miami Herbert Business School with a double major in Finance and Management. He is originally from Caracas, Venezuela, and aspires to pursue a career in equity research that combines analytical rigor and strategic insight. His academic background and internships have honed his skills in valuation, financial analysis, and business performance.
Elisa Villamizar Vogt
Elisa Villamizar Vogt is a senior at the University of Miami, originally from Cali, Colombia, with Swiss heritage. She is triple majoring in Finance, Business Analytics, and French. Elisa works part-time at Guardian Dentistry Partners, a private-equity-backed dental partnership network, where she focuses on corporate FP&A and gains exposure to M&A. She has played competitive golf since the age of nine and represented the University’s Division I team in Spring 2023.
